Issue Description: In Blackboard app version 5.8 on iOS devices, the question text in Original tests is repeated every few questions resulting in duplicated questions and mis-matched answer choices. Blackboard app version 5.8 was released to the App Store on Monday, October 19, 2020.
Resolution/Workaround: Blackboard’s Mobile development team is actively pursuing a fix for this issue that will be delivered in the form of a hot-fix release of the Blackboard app.

Resolution/Workaround: This issue was resolved in Blackboard app version 5.8.1 (iOS only), which was released on October 26, 2020.
BLACKBOARD: CRITICAL PRODUCTION DOWNTIME for Friday, October 30th 8:00 PM (Eastern) to Saturday, October 31st 8:00 AM (Eastern)
On Friday evening, October 30th beginning at 8:00 PM (Eastern) through Saturday morning, October 31st at 8:00 AM the https://blackboard.jhu.edu system will be taken offline to apply critical security updates. The system will be unavailable during this time and maintenance page will be displayed until the system is again available for use.
Faculty: We recommend faculty avoid scheduling assignments or assessments to be due during this timeframe.
Students: If students have questions or concerns about how this outage might affect their ability to complete coursework, we recommend reaching out to course faculty directly to discuss.
Daylight Saving Time Maintenance for Saturday, November 1st
On Sunday morning, November 1st, from 5:00AM - 6:00AM (Eastern), we will be performing maintenance related to the Daylight Saving Time change. Blackboard will be unavailable during that time.
To support our commitment to a more inclusive campus, we’re introducing a new feature called Ally into your Blackboard courses. As more of our courses are being facilitated online due to COVID-19, the importance of accessible online content has become imperative. Johns Hopkins University is making Ally available across most of our FA20 courses at the end of September to support students in engaging with digital content as well as to support faculty in providing accessible content.
Ally will provide support to your students by allowing them to download your course files in different formats, like a MP3 or mobile-friendly version. Next to your course files, students will find an icon for a dropdown menu. They can then simply select the dropdown icon and then select “Alternative Formats”:

Phishing scams use fraudulent emails to get users to reveal confidential information. Such emails usually look like they come from a legitimate organization such as Blackboard but contain links to illegitimate sites.
Blackboard has become aware of a mass phishing scam targeting customers using Blackboard Learn. To be clear, Blackboard Learn has not been hacked -- these are emails sent directly from a spammer to emails it may have harvested by spidering the institution's websites for email addresses.
